Invisible Bead Extensions (IBE) FAQs

IBE is an extension method applied by installing 1-3 rows of beads and stitching weft extensions to that row. By completely hiding the beads, IBE gives you length, thickness, or both in a comfortable, damage-free way!

Question: What is it?

With options for adding fullness, just adding length, or adding both, IBE is for almost everyone! It is comfortable enough for the most sensitive scalps, gentle enough for the most fragile strands, and customizable enough for the most unique starting points.

Question: Who is it for?

Price varies depending on where your starting point is, what your goals are, what color you’re looking to achieve, and so many other custom factors! At your complimentary consultation, we will go over everything you need to know about pricing in your specific situation. The larger the transformation you want or the thicker your natural hair is, the more expensive your hair will probably be!

Your non-refundable deposit will be due to book your initial installation, and you will pay an additional application cost at the time of installation. Your maintenance reservations will happen every 7-9 weeks. All color on your natural hair is priced separately.

Question: Why is a consultation required before scheduling?

At your initial consultation, we will discuss how many rows and wefts of hair we will need to achieve your goals. We will also go over what you can expect from your new daily routine and in-salon maintenance moving forward, as well as all initial and future costs.

Every head of hair is unique, and your extensions should never be cookie cutter. The consultation allows us to gage if I am the right fit for you as well. Extensions are an investment, and I want you to feel 100% comfortable all the way through!

Question: How do we get started?

Step One: Request a Complimentary Consultation

Reminder: an appointment request is NOT a verified appointment. You must continue with steps 2 and 3 to confirm your time!

Step Two: Check your email

Within 48 hours of requesting an appointment, I will respond with any follow-up questions or photo requests that will assist me in preparing for your consultation. If I do not hear from you, your appointment request will be denied. If this happens, don’t worry! We can always start again.

Step Three: Receive your booking confirmation via email and text

You will find your confirmation through the email and phone number you provided to my booking site when requesting your consultation.

Question: How does the installation process work?

Appointment 1: Complimentary Consultation (30 min)

At this reservation, we will go over all of your extension options and figure out what would work best for you. Once we have agreed on the length, number of rows, and color, you will have the opportunity to schedule your installation. To reserve a spot, you will pay a non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of your extension hair. Before your installation, I will prep your hair and custom color it to the perfect match for you!

Appointment 2: Initial Installation (2+ hours)

New hair day!! At this reservation, your new hair will be installed, we will trim and shape it to find the perfect blend, and we will finish with a quick photo shoot. You will leave with a complimentary maintenance kit, including an extension brush, and full size Goldie Locks shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. We will go over everything you need to know about protecting your investment at home and answer any questions that may have come up for you since our consultation. The charge for extension application will be due at the time of this service.

Appointments 3+: Maintenance (1.5+ hours)

Maintenance reservations for IBE are generally scheduled at 7-9 weeks. I like to reevaluate everything about your IBE installation at every maintenance appointment to make sure you are loving everything about your extensions as your natural hair grows and your lifestyle evolves throughout the year.

Question: Can you color my hair at the same time as my extensions?

Absolutely! While color is all priced separately from extensions, we can definitely combine these services to save you a little time. We will go over all of your options for incorporating color at your consultation.

Price-wise: your first extension installation will include custom color on your extensions and glazing to blend with your natural hair if needed. Any color on your natural hair is priced as a separate service at your initial installation as well as at future maintenance reservations.

Time-wise: If we do your color and extensions at the same time, plan to sit in my chair for a little longer but be able to wait longer in between appointments. If you prefer to come in more often but spend less time in my chair while you’re here, splitting up your appointments may be a better fit for you!

Question: What do you mean by at-home maintenance? Are they a lot of work day to day for me?

At-home maintenance is half the battle in maintaining your extensions.

I can do a flawless service at every in-salon reservation, but if you don’t take care of them at home, you will definitely end up having to replace your hair sooner and also risk damage to your natural hair.

But don’t worry- I truly want you to be set up for success! I believe in at-home maintenance so much that I have even started including the products you need at your initial installation free of charge.

We will go over everything you need to know for maintenance at your consultation when assessing if extensions are a good fit for you!
